Doing so results in a failure to start the application with various errors that seem to indicate that the Linux ports are looking for a Linux version of Xalf. /compat/linux does not provide such support, and so these (and similar) applications refuse to start from a menu. >How-To-Repeat: Just attempt to start any Linux X port . . . >Fix: The work-around is to start Linux X ports from an xterm command prompt, but this is ugly and sort of defeats the purpose of having X in the first place.
