I am attempting to use grip, but, while I can play a CD with it,
attempting to rip a track results in "Unable to open cdrom drive."
followed by an eject.

I suspect the issue may be with the "Generic SCSI device". I have
tried several devices including pass0 and xpt0, but I have had no
luck. Other CAM based tools like cdrecord work fine. I have tried both
the ATAPI and CAM versions of the device (cd0c and acd0c) with similar
results.

Any clues as to making this tool work?

Thanks,
