Maybe an list where only people with commit-privileges are alowed to post (but anyone is allowed to read) could serve as the 'architectural discussion' forum. I don't expect to be able to post there, but i'd like to know whats going on. More people could be allowed to post, if they are 'known' to any of the people already on the list.
