Not that I know. So if you can investigate more please do so.

As Tru64 & VMS can boot from CD on these boxes it definitely can be made to
work ;)

-current is not the place to be at the moment (starting as of Feb 10 or
so). Some library compatibility hassles have been introduced :-(
Stick to releng_4 for this debugging work, once you know what is wrong
it will most likely apply to -current as well.
