I thought that XFree86 3.3.6 would support the Chipset. Eventually the support was mentioned in the Hardware List. It works only with a patch, so I used the patch on the source and compiled Xfree with no errors. Now, the chipset is as far as I can see correctly detected, but Xfree86 doesn't work with a resolution higher than 320x200. I tried every solution and different XF86Config's, but nothing helped. Does anybody have an idea? Furthermore i was not able to find a GUI XF86Setup from my own compiled XFree86 3.3.6. Thats no Problem because i took xf86config. I'm just wondering. In the Newsgroup of Xfree86 I found a Link to a Xserver binary which hsould work with the Savage, but the package is broken. Any Idea?
