You may wish to consider the Caldera Network Desktop (Linux-based).  
It recieved a favorable review in a competition with NT, Solaris and 
BSD/OS in a recent issue (May 1) of Network Computing.  The CND was 
the only OS to support NetWare, WFW as well as TCP/IP networks and 
has Novell v3.x & v4.x administration tools (including NDS admin 
tools) built-in if you need a system with both TCP/IP and TRUE IPX/SPX 
connectivity.
