More information: I removed the card from the bottom of the iMac and placed
it into the cardbus/pci clot of my Gateway M275. I'm not sure if the system
could recognize the card. I should be able to afford a "new"- read
"different" or "used"- card in a few weeks.

These are general questions:
The directories of dev/mii and dev/wi are in /usr/src/sys; yet, why are
these device nodes not created?
There is the chain of devices such as gem0(parent)->
miibus0(child-parent)->ukphy0 alias wi/Hermes(Child-child); how does one
bring up an interface seen on dmesg yet not recognized by the system?

Another note: If you feel/believe that I have insulted you, let me know-
through a private email- so that I may properly apologize through that
medium or here.
