I'm not sure if the system could recognize the card. I should be able to afford a "new"- read "different" or "used"- card in a few weeks. These are general questions: The directories of dev/mii and dev/wi are in /usr/src/sys; yet, why are these device nodes not created? There is the chain of devices such as gem0(parent)-> miibus0(child-parent)->ukphy0 alias wi/Hermes(Child-child); how does one bring up an interface seen on dmesg yet not recognized by the system?
