I tried playing blindly with Settings->General->Disk Space, but it doesn't seem to change much. Do you have something specific in mind? I also tried putting ~/.thunderbird aside and starting over with a couple of accounts: while not exactly "fast", it's a couple of order of magnitude better than with my current profile. I wonder if it will crawl again in case I went on and read everything... that would be some days of wasted work :-( bye & Thanks av.
