Hi, I just tried to do this: kill -9 -1 on my FreeBSD 4.2-STABLE workstation and the console died. I could ssh to my machine and do a "startx" which brought back the video signal to the screen. But as soon as I shut X down, the video-signal went the same way. How can I bring back the console without having to reboot?
