I tried again just now, first without unloading, then removing a few kernel modules, but it did not help. If I find time, I'll investigate further. If there is a setting to xorg.conf that does work for setting the screen brightness, please tell me. Everything I tried so far turned out negative, but maybe there's something I overlooked.=20 cheers
