I haven't used these, but I noticed that the quoted seek times on these (9.5 ms avg) seem somewhat lower than than the high performance SCSI drives like Seagate's Barracuda 9LP (7.1ms ) Quantum Atlas III (7.8 ms avg) the IBM ultrastar 2XP's (8.5ms). Depending on what you're doing, seek time may be more important than rotational speed. Of course, the IDE drives are cheaper.
