I need to upgrade my pre-2.2 FreeBSD system to current distrib. There are many services on this system (like named, squid, httpd and so on)and i wonder if is possible to upgrade it in a 'soft' way (e.g. without have to stop the services for a long time) So if i first upgrade the kernel, can i still use older binaries or i must recompile the whole tree in one shot?
