Hello list, I am using following system (appending output of uname -a): FreeBSD vagabund.w33 6.2-RELEASE-p4 FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE-p4 #0: Thu Apr 26 17:40:53 UTC 2007 root@i386-builder.daemonology.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386 I installed portupgrade and portaudit from 6.2-RELEASE-CD. Updated my ports via csup like the handbook described. After a run of portaudit -a I had to upgrade some ports. E. g. to upgrade gtar, and that happened (appending a log of script): Script started on Tue Jun 12 17:50:12 2007 vagabund# portupgrade -P gtar-1.15.1_2 cd: can't cd to /usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade cd: can't cd to /usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade [missing key: categories] [Updating the portsdb <format:bdb_btree> in /usr/ports ... - 17271 port entries found .........1000.........2000.........3000.........4000.........5000. ........6000.........7000.........8000.........9000.........10000....... ..11000.........12000.........13000.........14000.........15000......... 16000.........17000.. ..... done] missing key: categories: Cannot read the portsdb! /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/portsdb.rb:567:in `open_db': database file error (PortsDB::DBError) from /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/portsdb.rb:736:in `port' from /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/portsdb.rb:924:in `all_depends_list' from /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/pkgdb.rb:915:in `tsort_build' from /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/pkgdb.rb:907:in `each' from /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/pkgdb.rb:907:in `tsort_build' from /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/pkgdb.rb:929:in `sort_build' from /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/pkgdb.rb:933:in `sort_build!' from /usr/local/sbin/portupgrade:694:in `main' from /usr/local/lib/ruby/1.8/optparse.rb:755:in `initialize' from /usr/local/sbin/portupgrade:210:in `new' from /usr/local/sbin/portupgrade:210:in `main' from /usr/local/sbin/portupgrade:1981 vagabund# exit exit Script done on Tue Jun 12 17:51:15 2007 I would say that this is not normal... :-( I read also /usr/ports/UPDATING but this problem appears nowhere in the document... Could somebody give me a hint, please? ___________________________________________________________ Telefonate ohne weitere Kosten vom PC zum PC: http://messenger.yahoo.de
