Everything seems to be correctly installed under my chosen subdirectory! Now I'm trying to puzzle out how to set up the compile system as a netserver for the Apple. I switched over to reading through the NetBSD macppc specific docs for setting up netbooting. Seems (most) everything hinges on the dhcpd setup... Do I need to set up a swap file as well? I haven't used it - but, I sent some mail to the -ppc list earlier about cross-building. There were some lines: >make <bflags> TARGET_ARCH=powerpc installworld DESTDIR=<destdir> * >touch <destdir>/boot/device.hints >make <bflags> TARGET_ARCH=powerpc installkernel An empty file is fine. Unfortunately, the loader in the tree isn't up to rev, but there's a binary one available at <a target=_blank href="http://www.freebsd.org/~grehan/loader">www.freebsd.org/~grehan/loader</a> ... that can be netbooted/diskbooted. later, Peter. > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ppc" in the body of the message
