After editing a file with it (using /etc/motd for a guinea pig), saving the file, running 'sh update' and rebooting, the changes have not "taken." If I then reboot fbsd from the HD, mount the floppy and examine the contents of /etc, I find I have two versions of each file, one gzipped and one not gzipped. My changes are in the not-gzipped version of motd. I could use a clue here. -- Bob Bernstein | The human race has one really effective weapon, at | and that is laughter. -- Mark Twain Esmond, R.I. | USA | ----- End forwarded message ----- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-small" in the body of the message
