I want to compile MySQL with static libraries. Can I achieve this by adding the arguments ( --with-mysqld-ldflags --with-client-ldflags ) to the Makefile in mysql's ports directory and recompiling? Or do I have to download the source from mysql.com and compile separately from the ports system?
