Your problem is most likely that you're not getting the right drive; I'm pretty sure this is covered in the FAQ. And you're mailing to the wrong mailing list - if you still can't get it to work (after reading the FAQ, the relevant part of the handbook, and the online manpage for 'boot'), please submit a fuller question (including the entire error message) to questions@freebsd.org.
