Martin, You might want to look at the VIA Eden platform that was released a month or two ago: http://www.via.com.tw/en/Products/eden.jsp The boards seems to only have a single NIC onboard, but I think there may be a version with a PCI slot so you could add another. They also have up to 32MB flash so you could in theory build a diskless box.
