I think that there is alot of confusion about this. If you look closely at the code printed on the top of the processor and compare it to the specifications for the code on the AMD web site (somewhere, I don't remember exactly where) you can definitively determine whether or not a particular CPU is a Thunderbird or not. You can also look inside the cover for the L2 cache chips on either side of the CPU chip. If they aren't there, it's a Thunderbird. Bob On Wed, Jan 24, 2001 at 02:19:49PM -0600, Thomas T.
