Networking and things like ps won't work. I did this when I upgraded last week. It worked well enough for me to build a new kernel and reboot. top, ps, etc didn't work. I didn't try network stuff (in fact, I had a double terminated T on my thinnet connection). I was also able to read the mail backlog that I had at the time while the kernel was compiling. Also, the XF86 release that was in 2.1.0R works great on my -current system (likely due to the way I upgraded). Warner
