The card has a 7890 chip set, which the FreeBSD hardware page says it supports, but I can't get FreeBSD installation to see the array during install. At this point, I ordered a DPT SmartCache IV RAID controller, as it is listed on the hardware page, but I'd like to use Adaptec, since I prefer their hardware to DPT's. Does anyone know how to get this to work using the Adaptec card? Or perhaps any other Adaptec (or other) RAID controllers that work besides the DPT one? Thanks.
