I've just upgraded to RC4 (complete binary install), recompiled the kernel, and built XFree86 4.1 from ports. Circumstances have changed. The problem I'm having seems to appear only in X. Regardless what window manager I use, response to mouse clicks is either sluggish or nonexistent. Console (i.e. ttyv0) cut and paste functions work just fine, so my guess would be that someone recently made some changes to the the XFree86 4.1 port or... your guess is as good as mine (and most welcome). Here's my boot log below, for what it's worth. You'll notice that the kernel has trouble with the uhci1 hub due to some sort of conflict with my modem, but my mouse is the only usb device I've got and is connected to uhci0. Any ideas?
