I don't see any of the non-conditionalized printf() calls from
your previous email of the calls you inserted.

This indicates to me that you are either running old code,
or you aren't even getting to the attempt to load the elf
module at all...

If you can, try sprinkling printf calls throughout the early
boot code ("here 1\n", "here 2\n", etc.), and let us know
what happens then.
