The idea is this: Parallel to the ${cc}.FreeBSD.org domains, let's establish an i2.FreeBSD.org domain, indicating mirror sites connected via Internet2 and associated networks (STARTAP, CA*NET3, SuperJANET4, etc.). Mirrors which are already in one of the other domains would have the option of dual-listing, or moving solely to the i2 domain. (We would probably move, but maintain an open-access policy; there look to me to be enough commodity-network mirrors right now.) I have I2 connectivity to the following mirrors: cvsup (n.cwu.edu) cvsup3/ftp5 (me) cvsup12 (sanmateo.ecn.purdue.edu) cvsup15 (cvsup.math.uic.edu) cvsup16 (warhammer.mcc.virginia.edu) cvsup.se/ftp.se (ftg-ltu1.net.luth.se) cvsup.no (c2h5oh.idi.ntnu.no) cvsup3.de/ftp4.de (cvsup.leo.org) ftp3 (raven.cslab.vt.edu) ftp7 (ftp.arl.army.mil) ftp9 (ftp.cerias.purdue.edu) ftp12 (reflection.ncsa.uiuc.edu) ftp2.uk (hubble-if-b.mirror.ac.uk) ftp5.uk (karma.freebsd-uk.eu.org) ftp.ch (sunsite.cnlab-switch.ch) ftp.it ftp2.de (caramba.cs.tu-berlin.de) ftp3.de (Rcs49.urz.tu-dresden.de) ftp7.de (ftp.tu-clausthal.de) ftp2.nl (ftp.nluug.nl) ftp2.se (shake.stacken.kth.se) ftp3.se (ftp2.sunet.se) ftp.no (spheniscus.uninett.no) ftp2.no (trane.uninett.no) ftp3.no (server.pasta.cs.uit.no) ftp4.jp (ftp.media.kyoto-u.ac.jp) ftp5.jp (lahonda.net.is.uec.ac.jp) -GAWollman To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message
