It would be quite slick if the installer would present you with a list of the preferred stuff, then upon your first login, along with asking you to change your root password, a script would chug along in hte background installing all the ports. (Packages are for wimps). Another option that would be really nice in the installer, would be a method by which you could choose to keep -stable updated. Meaning, it makes a cron entry so once a week it cvsup's the source.
