The following reply was made to PR ports/130781; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Steven Kreuzer <skreuzer@exit2shell.com> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, maszeroskia3@scranton.edu Cc: Subject: Re: ports/130781: www/rt38 Database connection error when executing certain CLI scripts from rt-3.8.1_2 Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2009 14:24:26 -0500 I have been trying to duplicate this error and I have been unable to do so. However, I have a feeling this might be the result of the configuration of mysql. From http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/gone-away.html "The most common reason for the MySQL server has gone away error is that the server timed out and closed the connection." Can you provide me with more information regarding your mysql and rt settings and I will see if I can duplicate it in a dev environment? Thanks -- Steven Kreuzer http://www.exit2shell.com/~skreuzer
