Erm, anything that involves the installation of the system has to
go through me - Bob may sign the checks, but I decide what goes into
the installer and, in the current system, doing "canned configs" is
both unwieldy and far less featureful than desired.  It's one of the
reasons we're doing a new one now.

Maybe the cookbook is a better place to start; fewer external
dependencies.
