I got the package from ftp2.freebsd.org, jdk-1.0.2.tgz, did pkg_add jdk-1.0.2.tgz, it installed to /usr/local/share/java .. but there is NO bin directory.. SO , i got the source for it from ftp2.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/distfiles/ this time there is a bin directory, but it doesnt seem to want to work. any tips or pointers i should be aware of? how about any good websties?? thanks a billion.
