Hi,

I wonder if anyone noticed, but PERL_VERSION variable has different formats on
4-STABLE and 5-CURRENT:

4-STABLE:
$ make -V PERL_VERSION
5.00503

5-CURRENT:
$ make -V PERL_VERSION
5.6.0

Please fix.
