The disclaimer at the beginning of the shar and the text of the PR
were meant to stress the (then current) policy as written in the
porters-handbook and the developers-handbook. The policy was IMO
commonly breached by committers, and I wanted it to be obeyed since
it nicely matched my views. If the text read something else to you,
sorry, I blame my being an ESL person.
The policy changed in the meantime and I have no interest in
maintaining any FreeBSD ports under the new one. I understand,
however, that I can submit the port with my address in MAINTAINER,
and drop the maintainership after the port passed the package
building cluster or similar. If that's (still) the case, and if the
disclaimer means something elase to you from what it means to me,
consider it retracted, and feel free to commit the port.
I'm willing to be listed as the MAINTAINER of the port for the
minimal required period under the conditions written in
porters-handbook rev 1.673 and contributing-ports rev 1.1.
