I installed FreeBSD 4.7 succesfully by: going to the BIOS and setting under the Device options to MAX PIO for the HardDrive to MAX PIO for the CDROM to MAX PIO for the defaults I've done this four times on different machines and the BTX Halted error dissapeared.
