https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D208894 Bug ID: 208894 Summary: RTLD gives its own weak symbols preference Product: Base System Version: 11.0-CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: le277@cam.ac.uk Created attachment 169434 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D169434&action= =3Dedit A patch to reverse symbol lookup bias. If RTLD finds a weak symbol in both its own object and another library, it = will give its own symbol preference. This can cause problems with the weak pthre= ad stubs defined in libc being used over those in libthr. I'm not sure if this is expected behavior, but it makes more sense to me to reverse this bias. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
