The instructions for implementing with smail did not work for me. It works fine with the following as the first entry in the transports file: fax: driver=pipe, local; pipe_as_sender, cmd="/usr/local/bin/mailfax", status_to_sender, -pipe_as_user, Hope this helps! Tom
