While the README for fortune in the 4-RELEASE source tree reads: The potentially offensive fortunes are not installed by default on BSD systems. If you're absolutely, *positively*, without-a-shadow-of-a-doubt sure that your user community wants them installed, whack the Makefile in the subdirectory datfiles, and do "make all install". the datfile/Makefile is still setup to build and install the offensive fortunes. Looking at the change-log, the README used to read: The potentially offensive fortunes are installed by default on FreeBSD systems. If you're absolutely, *positively*, without-a-shadow-of-a-doubt sure that your user community goes berzerk/sues your pants off/drops dead upon reading one of them, edit the Makefile in the subdirectory datfiles, and do "make all install". so I'm guessing that it's just that someone forgot to update the Makefile. --=20 -- Skylar Thompson (skylar@cs.earlham.edu) -- http://www.cs.earlham.edu/~skylar/ --Dxnq1zWXvFF0Q93v Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFBPOXasc4yyULgN4YRAsitAKCnqrhbkQ1G7EiNvTtTr4/hxlC/mgCfbj6g ksTw66jVF2xnSfP/HZEDjmo= =hLik -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Dxnq1zWXvFF0Q93v--
