Yes, you are right, commenting this line made the animation run smoothly. I guess I'll have to look for more complex JOGL examples. But for now I have to conclude that java/opengl works fine locally. Perhaps my program is some version mismatch between remote and local java or opengl installations. Many thanks for all replies! Anton
