Looks like Xlib requires the newer locale anyway. I was able to test this tonight, and I see what you're talking about. I imagine the mix of English and German is caused by an incomplete German translation. I'm not a GnuCash user, so my best recommendation to you is to ask the GnuCash developers. There are a few mailing lists that may be able to help, including a German list: http://www.gnucash.org/en/lists.phtml If you find it's a problem with the port, perhaps the developers can help shed some light on what I can do to get these things fixed.
