I have procfs mounted because I'm gnome user. Anyway, I can't reproduce your
errors, so I'd recommend to try to mount procfs. Add this line to your
/etc/fstab and do `mount /proc`.

proc            /proc            procfs    rw    0    0

If it's indeed required to run gimp-gmic, then I'll add this into pkg-message.
