I don't quite parse this.  Peter is going to do the work of merging LukeM
ftpd and getting LukeM to accept all the changes?  Ie, the hope is to put
LukeM ftpd into src/contrib/ and treat it as typical src/contrib/
software.

I guess your line of thinking will be the death wish of any code shareing
then.  IMHO no new local hacks should be introduced w/o talking to LukeM
first to see if he would accept such changes back.  Or is one of you guys
going to offer to add all the _WONDERFUL_ enhancements that he has made
to the BSD ftpd that makes it so 90% of the proftpd and wu-ftpd users
need those very vulnerability ridden and crufty pieces of software?
