Synopsis: Ported Application conflict, xfmail and qt-3.2.1 State-Changed-From-To: open->closed State-Changed-By: pav State-Changed-When: Tue Jun 29 17:09:54 GMT 2004 State-Changed-Why: This is not a bug, it's a feature. In the real world it can happen, that two different people produce two different applications that, by accident, use same name for one of its files. FreeBSD packaging system prevents you from installing both applications in the same time, because the second package would overwrite files installed by first package. Now some good news - since May 2004, Qt and xfmail no longer conflicts. Xfmail port was changed to install one of it's files under different name, to avoid a conflict. Next FreeBSD release will not have the problem you're reporting. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=68475
