I read about lost console a couple of days ago but I didn't
read very deep, actually I skipped.
Now it seems to have caught me:
On a -current (14 days old) running PCVT I suddenly 
lost the capability of vt switching  (xterms and X still
running processes). I cannot switch to other consoles
and cannot grab the X server again.

What is the cause for this?
