Most MUA nowadays provide an option to automatically reply to the list only. So IMO even for this list the advice should at least be, "_if possible_ reply to the list only", if you want receive a copy directly, than ask the OP "reply to the list and (carbon copy) me, but don't address it to somebody else". 2 Cents, Ralf
