Here is a simple test program: http://people.freebsd.org/~jkim/get_tsc.c How to find whether you have P-state invariant TSC: - Kill powerd if you are running it. - Set kern.timecounter.hardware to something other than TSC. - Set the lowest CPU frequency manually and run the test.
