The last two days, I keep getting this message whenever I try to 'make
buildkernel' or 'make buildworld'

the line that causes the signal 11 is:

cd /usr/src; make -V .CURDIR:C/.// 2>&1 >/dev/null | grep -q "Unknown
modifier 'C'"; then make make; fi

running make with just the -V switch is the problem.

Thanks,

Patrick
