For starters most of us don't like HTML formatted messages and delete them unread. I have been meaning to work on using dhclient's hooks to update my firewall these past several months but haven't gotten around to it simply because my DHCP IP address hasn't changed. Meanwhile I've hardcoded the numbers into my /etc/rc.firewall. > Thanks, > > mgruver@carolina.rr.com > > ------=_NextPart_000_0005_01C063BF.D79148A0 > Content-Type: text/html; > charset="iso-8859-1" > Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable > > <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> > <HTML><HEAD> > <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = > http-equiv=3DContent-Type> > <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2614.3500" name=3DGENERATOR> > <STYLE></STYLE> > </HEAD> > <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> > <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I have a dual-homed host with = > non-routables on the=20 > inside domain (192.168.0.x) and DHCP on the outside with the ISP. = > The=20 > question is: the example rc.firewall file explains to setup your=20 > interface, ip and subnet for both the external and internal = > interfaces. =20 > Sounds great, except I am using DHCP on the external.
