https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D285830 Charlie Li <vishwin@freebsd.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |vishwin@freebsd.org Flags| |maintainer-feedback+ Status|New |Open Assignee|ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org |python@FreeBSD.org --- Comment #1 from Charlie Li <vishwin@freebsd.org> --- This isn't really a FreeBSD-specific problem or even a technical problem as much as a manpower and political problem. Specifically, between FreeBSD committers, CPython's core team and developers, and anyone/entities in betw= een. As listed, there is exactly one CPython core developer who is tasked with FreeBSD-specific issues, but supporting other platforms and concerns are hi= gher priority. Getting to their Tier 2 most importantly involves someone within = our community working their way into becoming a CPython core developer, which i= s a hell of a lot to ask for without external support (especially financial). N= ote that much of the "core" (because it's not just CPython at this point) Python maintainers community have at least some sort of external backing, like the= ir $work relies on their maintenance efforts. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
