Do you not know about this CVSup feature?? Mea culpa. I never used that mode. I rather expected that no one would need such a thing, since anoncvs is supported. I generally get the whole tree locally, and then checkout from that. I imagine that if you used the checkout mode in CVSup, it would stomp your local changes, rather than causing a conflict; that's actually _worse_ than what I described.
