I can now confirm that this bug still exists in 12.0-RELEASE-p2.

Is there anything we can do to help? The panic currently prevents me from u=
sing
any of my systems with softupdates and / or journaling enabled, which leads=
 to
quite long fsck times in the event of a crash.
