Dear sir: I am writing to you regarding ports of /math/Octave. I have a feed back about above ports. Octave is a high level mathematical language and has high level compatibility with "Matlab". But unfortunately Octave doesn't seem to have appropriate interpolation functions, e.g. interp1, spline, etc which Matlab originally has. So that some people try to get rid of these gaps between Octave and Matlab. You can find several packages at following site: http://users.powernet.co.uk/kienzle/octave/ Among them, "matcompat" package has interpolation functions. http://users.powernet.co.uk/kienzle/octave/matcompat/index.html How about merging these useful unofficial packages to your Octave ports. Many people must be able to share this benefit with high level compatibility with Matlab.
