Hi, A strange problem. I run a backup in the middle of every night. Before the backup starts it disables Postfix. I have noticed that if I happen to have left Mutt running somewhere it then proceeds to go into a very tight CPU loop. The Mutt incarnation is usually the administrative user, who receives messages for root from all the various system activities. I intend to try a controlled experiment to see on what it is looping (I suspect select and/or poll) .. but does anyone have any insight into this ? It's FreeBSD 4.7 stable..but I think it has happened before so I don't suspect any recent updates (I build stable +- once a week). Mutt/Postfix are the latest versions from the ports. -- Regards Cliff Sarginson The Netherlands [ This mail has been checked as virus-free ] To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
